I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T

do you know what that be…. lol

I love being an independent woman, except on mornings like this one!

lol, I’d gathered my tote, and purse, and coat, locked the front door, and started my 5 step journey to the car. I’ve done this a milion times since we moved in this house!

This morning however, the step #3 went awfully wrong!!!

As soon as I put my foot down, I KNEW I was in trouble!! My foot slid from underneath me so fast, I hollered “OH!” the BAM!! hit the ground! HARD

I tried to hurry and get up before I ended up soaking and wet, from the ice.. no such luck! Remember all the shit I was carrying? Yea, well with all that in my hands, I couldn’t get good leverage to standup on the ice. So imagine me flopping around on the ground, trying to get up and cant!

I finally was able to flip over on my hands and knees and get in an upright position, and that was the beginning of my morning! lol I laugh now, but it wasnt funny then…. damn black ice!

I’m sure the neighbor across the street had a good laugh with her cup of coffee this morning!
I called Ian and he could barely ask if I was okay for laughing! lol

*** Thanks for all your prayers and kind words for my sister and family. we are definitely prayerful at this time. And I got word this morning that she delivered a 7lb baby girl. No word on the babies condition as, my baby sister had not made it to the hospital yet***

What else could better explain why I typed new edition as opposed to new addition?!?!?!.

    Okay…Neva mind!!!!

  3. Woo lawd. Did you go to work wet? LMAO.

I don’t know if this is the right thing to say, but with a sister like that, you might have your baby sooner than you realize. Hint, hint.

This is definately how some of us get babies in my family.

  4. Nikij just said what i was hinting saturday!!!

  7. Haha! That has happened to be before…a looooooong time ago during one of our notorious ice storms here in the south.

But like Erica we hadd 78 degree weather here! Freaky!!!! Very unusual!

  8. I am laughing with you not at you!!! Sike!!! Girl, I hope you are doing well, I know I would be still laying there, I am too old to be falling. Remember when we could fall and bounce back up and brush that shit off – not so much anymore! Congrats on the baby!!

  9. I’m sorry for laughing cause I know that mess must have not felt too good. Damn winter time, I hate it.

I pray that lil sis baby is healthy and doing well.

  10. I’m laughing WITH you, not at you, right?? 🙂 I hate it when stuff like that happens because I don’t know whether to laugh or get pissed or cry. Glad it was you and not me. :o)

Prayers for your sister, hope things turn out ok.

  11. I’m all kinds of late but OMG!! Fallin when you are grown azzed woman is not fun!!! I fell last year around this time. It was nasty out and I went to step up on the pavement from the street. It was kinda high and the curb slanted so folks with wheelchairs or something could get up. Well I stepped one foot up and SLLLLLOOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYY slid down…all the way down on my face lol!!! Thank goodness for these two flotation devices because it could have been really ugly! ROFL!!
